MS Public Speaking I (6-8th grade): This is aimed at students who have some exposure to public speaking and wish to refine their skills further. HS Public Speaking I (8th grade +): Introduction of public speaking for high school students. HS Debate II (8th grade +) This is an intermediate debate program targeted for students who are in high school debate team already and wish to refine their debate skills. This program will be focusing on Congressional Debate event. MS Art of Writing I (6th grade +): This class will introduce the joy of creative writing to students who like writing stories, poetry, essays and plays, or who are willing to explore the fun of writing. It will cover the fundamentals of writing such as style and grammar, as well as various types. The students are encouraged to share their ideas, let their imagination soar and write with pleasure. The instructor will discuss character development, plot, tone and all other aspects of short stories, drama, and more. HS Essay Writing (8th grade +): This class will introduce the basic techniques of essay writing to high school students and help them write different kind of essay including college application essays. |
HS AMC10/12/AIME (8th grade and up): This is an intermediate high school math competition class targeted for students whose math abilities are placed near the AIME level. The goal is to get them qualified for AIME and potentially aiming for JMO/AMO.
MS MathCounts/AMC8 (6th grade and up): This is an intermediate level middle school math competition class targeted for students with some MathCounts experience and who would be willing to get to state level MathCounts competition. AP Chemistry (8th grade and up): This is AP Chemistry class aimed at students who have finished honor chemistry. It meets twice a week and will continue in September and finish by December 2016. This class will have higher requirement than regular AP chemistry class and will help students to prepare for the chemistry competition in 2017. AP Physics I (8th grade and up): This is aimed at students who have finished Geometry and ready to start Algebra 2. It meets twice per week for 7 weeks. AP Physics II (8th grade and up, 5/28-6/30, 10 2hr-sessions): This is for students who have finished AP Physics I. It meets twice per week and will continue in September and finish by December 2016. Intro to Computer Algorithms II (7th grader +): This is aimed at students who have finished C++ programing class and want to take USACO training. |
